My name is Lucas Renaudie, I am 22 years old and I am fully fluent in English and French.
I recently completed my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Mathematics at McGill University (Montreal, Canada). Throughout my degree, I developed solid programming skills across multiple languages, including Java, Python, and C++. In math, my studies covered advanced algebra and calculus, differential equations, probability, graph theory and logic.
Last year, I pursued further studies at ATI Université Paris 8, focusing on 3D softwares like Maya, Unreal Engine and Unity, as well as writing scripts in these softwares.
In parallel, I completed a 150-hour Blender course at Les Gobelins (Paris), which I continue to use for personal projects, especially for environment creation and renders.
This upcoming September, I will be joining l'Ecole Polytechnique to pursue a Master of Science and Technology (EXcin track). I will be learning the fundamentals of computer graphics, machine learning and generative AI, computer vision, real-time 3D engine programming (Unreal Engine), rendering (OpenGL, Vulkan), and more. I will also be covering topics related to cinema, such as pipeline and tool development, applied AI, camera technology, film production, cinema theory and more.
Below is a selection of my projects, including both academic and independent work.

A complex procedural city generation tool for Autodesk Maya with an interactive UI, built in Python (6000+ lines). Users can generate all kinds of environments, including buildings, rain, clouds, snow, grass, etc. Tabs are created at each generation, allowing users to create and modify multiple different layouts at the same time. Also includes a duplicator tool to create copies of generations. Check out the demo video on YouTube by clicking the link below!
My final project at ATI Université Paris 8, titled "Deep Sea" (in collaboration with 2 other students). A 10s Blender animation with 3 scenes, each completely modelled, animated, textured and lit from scratch. Character cloth simulation was done in Marvelous Designer, and post production was done in After Effects. Check out the Blender scenes by downloading the project files below!

Creating my first game in Unity, coded in C#. Includes character movement, combat, enemies, traps, animations, sound effects, and multiple game states (pause, game over, victory). Try out the game by clicking below!
A challenge to make a Unity game in under a week, coded in C#. Features character and camera movement, enemies and combat, animations, and a UI. Characters are modelled and rigged by hand in Blender. Try out the game by clicking below!
A 1967 Volkswagen Bus modelled entirely in Autodesk Maya.
Features a clean, all-quads topology.

An AI agent that plays the game of Reversi (Othello) using an Iterative-Deepening Alpha-Beta Pruning tree search, coded in Python. Features an evaluation function, based on a weighted sum of heuristic values. Implementation of a genetic algorithm to optimize the weights. Usage of search-space pruning and state memoization to avoid redundant computations. Placed 7th out of 150 in the tournament, with more than 99% win rate against real human players! See the report for more details on the agent.
